The work schedule for this position is:
Full Time – 48 hours per week, Shift duty (Monday – Sunday with 2 off days during the week)

Basic Function of the Position: The position is located in the Marine Security Guard (MSG) Office, U.S. Embassy, New Delhi. Under the supervision of Detachment Commander, the incumbent will be responsible for effectively and safely operating a Fully Armored Vehicle (FAV) as part of the Marine Security Guard transportation needs. The incumbent will be required to provide knowledgeable and responsive tactics, techniques, and procedures in the operation of vehicles when transporting personnel and or equipment. Personnel may include Marine Security Guards assigned to American Embassy New Delhi VIPs from Marine Corps Embassy Security Group (MCESG) Headquarters. MCESG Region 2 Headquarters, Department of Defense, Diplomatic Security Regional Security Office personnel and/or other government agency personnel as required and directed. S/he will be responsible for the personal safety of the passengers to and from official meetings, events and functions that support the MSG detachment. The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring 100% readiness of multiple vehicles assigned to the Marine Security Guard Detachment and 24-hours response capability. The incumbent will additionally be required to assist in the loading/unloading, transport and delivery of cargo, equipment, and support items necessary for the operation of the MSG detachment. The incumbent will also perform other duties as assigned. Note: The incumbent should have the ability to occasionally load/unload heavy luggage and packages up to 100 lbs. S/he should be willing to work flexible hours – working evenings, weekends, holidays, and long varied hours as well as absences from home.

Qualifications and Evaluations
This position requires three years of professional full-time/incidental driving experience.

Education Requirements:
This position requires successful completion of Secondary School (Class X).

SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Valid Indian Heavy Motor Vehicle (HMV) driving license is required.
Please attach a copy of the valid Indian driving license with the application along with all the mandatory/required documents. Applications which do not have a copy of the license will not be accepted.
Please note: U.S. Government regulations require all Chauffeurs or Incidental drivers for official vehicles to be 25 years of age or older. We will not consider candidates below 25 years of age. Any applicant that possess a valid driving license issued for less than5 years will not be considered. If an applicant had renewed their driver’s license they must attach a copy of both old and current driver’s license in order for HR to confirm the issuance date.
“Applicants must have the visual ability to recognize and distinguish among traffic control signals and devices showing standard red, green and amber colors.” Selected applicant/s will be required to undergo the mandatory medical testing before starting in the job.

Agency Benefits:
Locally Employed Staff, including Members of Household (MOHs), and Third-Country Nationals (TCNs), working at the U.S. Mission in New Delhi, India may receive a compensation package that may include health, separation, and other benefits.
For EFMs, benefits should be discussed with the Human Resources Office.
The pay plan is assigned at the time the conditional offer letter is issued by the HR Office.
